The Santa Barbara County Medical Society Membership Directory is a comprehensive listing our physician members' specialties and practice contact information, the only publication of its kind in the county. More than 1,200 copies of this 100-page publication are used daily by physicians, hospitals, medical personnel and a variety of businesses. In addition to the listing of our members both alphabetically and by specialty, the directory features a hospital directory, a pharmacy directory that includes hours of service, and a telephone directory of numbers that are useful in the medical setting.

Medical Society News

The Medical Society News is published bi-monthly and connects our membership to informative commentary and resources on the most pertinent issues affecting the practice of medicine today. Edited by and for physicians, it is circulated to the Medical Society's members as a benefit of membership.

Medical Manager News

This newsletter is sent electronically on a regular basis to Medical Society members' offices to provide information on new and updated compliance laws and general medical practice information to make the physician's practice run smoothly.

Survival Guide for the Practicing Physician

This manual is available free of charge to each new member of the Medical Society and is a valuable business and legal tool for physicians who are new to the area or for those establishing a practice of their own following an employed situation. The manual can be useful for an employed physician as well as the independent business physician. Registering a change of address with the DEA, renewing licenses for prescribing, prescribing for terminally ill patients (new laws), responding to medical records requests, retaining medical records, are among the many topics covered in this manual.
